Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules, standards, and restrictions applicable to the use of the Click&Done platform, including permitted and prohibited activities, user responsibilities, compliance requirements, and enforcement measures.
Purpose of this Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs acceptable and prohibited use of the Click&Done platform and related services.
The purpose of this Policy is to maintain a trusted marketplace by ensuring that the Platform is used only for lawful, legitimate, safe, and responsible purposes. In particular, this Policy is intended to:
- prevent fraud, abuse, illegal activity, harmful conduct, and misuse of the Platform;
- prohibit services, transactions, and user behaviour that may expose Click&Done, its users, or its payment and business partners to legal, financial, operational, or reputational risk;
- support compliance with applicable South African laws and regulatory requirements; and
- enable Click&Done to take appropriate action where users engage in conduct that is prohibited or inconsistent with the standards of the Platform.
This Policy applies to all persons who access or use the Platform, including customers, Specialists, and visitors, and must be read together with Click&Done’s Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any other policies published by Click&Done from time to time.
By using the Platform, each user agrees to comply with this Policy. Click&Done reserves the right to investigate suspected breaches and to take any action it reasonably considers appropriate, including removing content, restricting access, suspending accounts, cancelling transactions, reporting unlawful conduct, or terminating use of the Platform.
Scope and Application
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all access to and use of the Click&Done platform, including its website, mobile application, related software, content, features, communication tools, and payment-enabled services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including customers, Specialists, visitors, account holders, and any other person who accesses, browses, lists, requests, offers, purchases, sells, promotes, communicates about, or otherwise interacts through the Platform.
This Policy governs all activity connected with the Platform, whether such activity occurs on-platform or, where relevant, off-platform, including conduct that:
- relates to services listed, requested, offered, or arranged through the Platform;
- involves payments made through the Platform or attempts to avoid or circumvent the Platform’s payment processes;
- affects the safety, rights, or legitimate interests of Click&Done, its users, payment partners, Specialists, or third parties; or
- may expose Click&Done or its payment partners to legal, regulatory, financial, operational, or reputational risk.
This Policy applies in addition to Click&Done’s Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any other policies, guidelines, or standards published by Click&Done from time to time. In the event of any inconsistency, Click&Done may determine the order of precedence to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Users must comply with this Policy at all times when using the Platform. A breach of this Policy may result in actions by Click&Done including the removal or rejection of listings or content, restriction of account functionality, withholding or reversal of transactions where permitted, suspension or termination of access to the Platform, and reporting to payment partners, regulators, law enforcement, or other relevant authorities where appropriate.
This Policy applies to all categories of services made available through the Platform and must be complied with together with all applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of South Africa. Where a user accesses or uses the Platform from outside South Africa, that user remains responsible for complying with all laws applicable to them in addition to this Policy.

Failure to provide such information within the required time may result in suspension, restriction, or termination of access to the Platform.
Permitted Use of Click&Done
Click&Done may be used only for lawful, genuine, and authorised purposes connected with the posting of service requests, the discovery and comparison of opportunities and service providers, the submission of quotations or proposals, the arrangement of Services, and the purchase of legitimate Services through the Platform.

A Specialist may use Click&Done only to offer Services that:
- are lawful in South Africa;
- fall within categories approved by Click&Done from time to time;
- the Specialist is legally entitled and qualified to provide; and
- do not breach this Policy, any other Click&Done policy, or any applicable Payment Partner requirements.
A Customer may use Click&Done only to seek, request, or purchase lawful Services for legitimate purposes and may not use the Platform to solicit, encourage, or procure any prohibited, unlawful, unsafe, or deceptive activity.
Click&Done may set service category rules, onboarding requirements, verification standards, transaction limits, or additional conditions for certain Users, Services, industries, or payment-enabled activities. Users must comply with any such requirements as a condition of continued access to the Platform.
Any use of the Platform that is inconsistent with the purpose of Click&Done as a legitimate services marketplace, or that exposes Click&Done, its Users, or its Payment Partners to legal, regulatory, fraud, chargeback, safety, or reputational risk, is not permitted.
User Responsibilities
Each User is responsible for using the Platform lawfully, honestly, safely, and in accordance with this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, and Applicable Law.
Without limiting the generality of the above, each User must:
- provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating an account, publishing a Listing, requesting a Service, making a payment, or otherwise using the Platform;
- maintain the security and confidentiality of their account credentials and take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to their User Account;

- promptly notify Click&Done of any suspected unauthorised use of their account, fraudulent activity, security breach, prohibited conduct, or breach of this Policy.
Users are solely responsible for their own conduct, Content, communications, Listings, requests, bookings, transactions, and interactions with other Users, whether on-platform or, where relevant, arising from activity initiated through the Platform.
A User may not:
- create multiple accounts for deceptive, evasive, abusive, or unauthorised purposes;
- impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent identity, qualifications, authority, experience, location, or affiliation;
- submit false documents, false verification information, or misleading payment, banking, licensing, or business details;
- interfere with the proper operation, security, integrity, or reputation of the Platform;
- use the Platform in a way that may expose Click&Done, other Users, or any Payment Partner to fraud, chargebacks, regulatory breaches, complaints, losses, or reputational harm; or
- assist, encourage, facilitate, or conceal any conduct that breaches this Policy or Applicable Law.
Where a User requests or receives a Service through the Platform, that User is responsible for ensuring that their instructions, requirements, and representations are lawful, accurate, and not misleading, and that they do not seek to procure any Service that is prohibited or unlawful.
Users must act in good faith in all dealings connected to the Platform. Any misuse of the Platform, failure to cooperate with Click&Done, or breach of these responsibilities may result in removal of Content, cancellation or restriction of transactions, suspension or termination of the User Account, and any other action Click&Done reasonably considers necessary.
Specialist Responsibilities
Each Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all Services for which the Specialist applies, quotes, offers, arranges, or provides through the Platform are lawful, genuine, accurately described, and performed in a professional, safe, and compliant manner.
Without limiting the generality of the above, each Specialist must:
- provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date profile, business, licensing, qualification, pricing, and service information;
- ensure that any response to a Customer request, including any quotation, proposal, timeline, price indication, or service commitment, is genuine, accurate, and not misleading;
- offer only Services that the Specialist is legally permitted, qualified, competent, and, where applicable, licensed or certified to provide;
- comply with all Applicable Law, regulatory requirements, industry standards, permit conditions, tax obligations, and professional obligations relevant to the Services offered;
- maintain all licences, registrations, approvals, insurance, certifications, and authorisations required for the lawful provision of the relevant Services;
- ensure that Listings, quotations, proposals, timelines, availability, pricing, and service descriptions are not false, misleading, deceptive, unfair, or incomplete in any material respect;
- perform Services with reasonable skill, care, diligence, and in a manner that does not endanger any person, property, animal, data, or legal rights;
- communicate with Customers honestly, professionally, and in good faith;
- use only approved payment methods and not encourage, request, or pressure Customers to make off-platform payments where the Platform requires payment to be made through Click&Done;
- cooperate promptly with Click&Done in relation to verification, compliance reviews, fraud checks, complaints, disputes, refunds, chargebacks, safety incidents, or investigations; and
- notify Click&Done without undue delay of any material issue affecting the Specialist’s eligibility, licensing status, legal compliance, ability to provide Services, or fitness to remain active on the Platform.
A Specialist may not:
- offer, promote, quote for, or provide any prohibited or unlawful Service;
- misrepresent qualifications, experience, identity, business status, location, capacity, pricing, past work, customer feedback, approvals, or results;
- use fake reviews, fabricated job history, misleading images, copied content, or any other deceptive practice to obtain business;
- accept bookings or payments for Services that the Specialist does not intend or is not reasonably able to perform;
- subcontract, delegate, or assign Services in a manner that is unlawful, unsafe, misleading, or inconsistent with the Customer’s reasonable expectations or Click&Done’s rules;
- request sensitive personal or financial information from Customers except where reasonably necessary for the lawful performance of the Service and permitted by Applicable Law;
- use the Platform to avoid regulatory obligations, tax obligations, licensing requirements, employment obligations, or payment partner controls; or
- engage in any conduct that may expose Click&Done, its Customers, or any Payment Partner to fraud, harm, chargebacks, legal liability, regulatory action, or reputational damage.
Where a Specialist provides Services in person or at a Customer’s premises, the Specialist remains solely responsible for complying with all health, safety, labour, immigration, insurance, consumer protection, and other legal requirements applicable to those Services.
Each Specialist acknowledges that Click&Done may impose category-specific rules, onboarding requirements, service limitations, verification checks, documentation requests, transaction restrictions, or additional compliance measures as a condition of listing or continuing to offer Services on the Platform.
Failure by a Specialist to comply with this section may result in rejection or removal of Listings, withholding of payouts where permitted, cancellation or reversal of transactions, suspension or termination of account access, or any other enforcement action Click&Done reasonably considers necessary.
Prohibited Conduct, Prohibited Services, Payments and Verification Abuse
Users may not use the Platform in connection with any unlawful, prohibited, fraudulent, deceptive, unsafe, evasive, or bad-faith conduct. Click&Done may not be used to advertise, request, offer, arrange, promote, provide, receive, or facilitate any Service, Content, transaction, payment, verification activity, or other conduct that breaches this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, Applicable Law, or applicable Payment Partner requirements.
Without limiting the generality of the above, a User may not, directly or indirectly:
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any Applicable Law, licence, permit, regulatory requirement, sanctions restriction, court order, or public safety requirement;
- offer, request, advertise, arrange, promote, facilitate, provide, or pay for any Service that is unlawful, prohibited, unsafe, deceptive, exploitative, or otherwise inconsistent with the legitimate operation of the Platform;
- engage in fraud, dishonesty, deception, impersonation, forgery, misrepresentation, phishing, social engineering, scams, collusion, refund abuse, chargeback abuse, or any other dishonest or manipulative conduct;
- create or use false, misleading, forged, altered, incomplete, stolen, or inaccurate information, documents, credentials, payment details, banking details, contact details, licences, qualifications, identity records, business records, or verification information;
- impersonate any person or entity, falsely claim affiliation, authority, endorsement, licensing, certification, experience, insurance, approval, or business status, or otherwise misrepresent identity, qualifications, location, availability, capacity, pricing, or the nature or quality of any Service;
- create fake Listings, fake requests, fake accounts, fake transactions, fake reviews, fake complaints, or any artificial or sham activity intended to mislead Click&Done, other Users, or any Payment Partner;
- conceal the true nature of a transaction, misdescribe the purpose of a payment, split or structure transactions to avoid fees, limits, verification requirements, reporting obligations, fraud checks, or Payment Partner controls, or otherwise attempt to evade Platform rules or payment monitoring;
- use the Platform as a lead source while intentionally completing or attempting to complete the relevant transaction off-platform in order to avoid Platform fees, payment controls, verification requirements, transaction monitoring, or Click&Done policies;
- request, offer, encourage, solicit, accept, or make payment outside the Platform where Click&Done requires the transaction to be processed through approved payment methods or Payment Partners;
- share bank account details, wallet addresses, QR codes, payment links, invoices, phone numbers, email addresses, or other payment instructions for the purpose of bypassing the Platform’s payment systems where such conduct is not expressly permitted by Click&Done;
- process or attempt to process payments for any prohibited Service, sham transaction, unauthorised third party, or transaction that does not correspond to a genuine underlying Service arranged through the Platform;
- use the Platform or any Payment Partner to route funds, process payments on behalf of third parties, disguise the source or destination of funds, or facilitate money laundering, suspicious activity, or any non-genuine payment arrangement;
- fail or refuse to complete identity verification, business verification, account verification, banking verification, beneficial ownership checks, or any other KYC, fraud prevention, security, or compliance checks reasonably required by Click&Done;
- submit false, forged, altered, expired, incomplete, stolen, or misleading documents or information for verification purposes, or attempt to bypass, manipulate, interfere with, or undermine any verification or screening process;
- fail to cooperate in good faith with any compliance review, investigation, transaction review, sanctions screening, source-of-funds query, fraud review, dispute process, refund review, safety inquiry, or Payment Partner request connected with the Platform;
- assist, organise, encourage, conceal, or benefit from any conduct prohibited by this Policy.
Without limiting the generality of the above, the following Services and categories are prohibited on the Platform:
- any unlawful Service or any Service provided in breach of Applicable Law or mandatory licensing, registration, authorisation, permit, certification, or safety requirements;
- any Service involving fraud, forgery, deception, impersonation, scams, phishing, identity abuse, document falsification, or unfair or predatory conduct;
- any Service involving illegal drugs, narcotics, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, steroids, or unlawful or unsafe substances;
- any Service involving weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, destructive devices, burglary tools, or assistance for unlawful violence or property damage;
- any Service involving counterfeit goods, stolen property, fake documents, fake identification, unlawfully obtained data, or confidential information obtained or used unlawfully;
- any Service involving unlawful gambling, lotteries, games of chance, prize promotions, or similar activities where not lawfully authorised;
- any Service involving unlicensed or unauthorised financial services, securities activity, credit activity, money transmission, payment processing, investment schemes, or similar regulated financial activity not expressly approved by Click&Done in writing;
- any Service involving pornography, sexual exploitation, trafficking, prostitution, or any unlawful or exploitative sexual service;
- any Service involving body parts, bodily fluids, recalled items, hazardous chemicals, or other inherently prohibited or unlawfully handled items;
- any Service that infringes the intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, consumer, data protection, contractual, property, or other lawful rights of any person; or
- any Service or activity that, in Click&Done’s reasonable opinion, creates unacceptable legal, regulatory, fraud, chargeback, safety, operational, or reputational risk for Click&Done, its Users, or its Payment Partners.
For the avoidance of doubt, a Service or activity may be treated as prohibited even if described as consulting, sourcing, facilitation, referral, support, reimbursement, digital assistance, marketing, or any other indirect label intended to disguise its true nature.
Users must ensure that all information, statements, Listings, quotations, communications, verification documents, payment-related data, and transaction details submitted through the Platform are truthful, accurate, current, complete, and not misleading in any material respect, and that all conduct connected with the Platform is genuine, lawful, and undertaken in good faith.
Where Click&Done reasonably suspects any conduct prohibited by this section, Click&Done may investigate the matter, request additional information or documents, reject or remove Listings or Content, delay, block, cancel, or reverse transactions or payouts where permitted, restrict account functionality, suspend or terminate User Accounts, and report the matter to Payment Partners, banks, regulators, law enforcement, or other competent authorities, as appropriate.
Click&Done reserves the right to determine, acting reasonably, whether any Service, category, transaction, payment flow, verification conduct, document, or other activity is prohibited under this Policy or inconsistent with applicable Payment Partner requirements.
Evasion and Repeat Misconduct
Attempting to avoid enforcement or compliance measures, including by:
- opening new accounts after suspension, restriction, or termination;
- using another person’s account without permission;
- concealing identity, location, or transaction purpose;
- assisting others to engage in prohibited conduct.
Click&Done reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this section and to remove content, suspend listings, delay or withhold payouts, restrict account functionality, terminate accounts, report matters to payment providers or regulators, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate. Any determination by Click&Done that an activity presents legal, regulatory, reputational, financial, or safety risk may be treated as a prohibited activity under this Policy.
Identity Verification and KYC Cooperation
Click&Done may require Users to complete identity verification, business verification, payment verification, account verification, or other know-your-customer, fraud prevention, security, or compliance checks as a condition of accessing, using, or continuing to use the Platform.
Users must, on request by Click&Done, promptly provide any information or documents reasonably required to verify identity, legal status, authority, banking details, beneficial ownership, licensing status, or compliance with Applicable Law or Payment Partner requirements.
Such information or documents may include:
- proof of identity;
- proof of address;
- company or business registration documents;
- proof of authority to act on behalf of a business or other entity;
- banking or payout account verification details;
- tax or registration information;
- licences, permits, certifications, or professional registrations;
- beneficial ownership information; and
- supporting records relating to a Listing, transaction, payout, refund, dispute, or compliance review.
Users must cooperate fully and in good faith with any verification, compliance review, sanctions screening, fraud review, transaction review, dispute process, or other reasonable request made by Click&Done or its Payment Partners in connection with the Platform.
Click&Done may use third-party service providers, Payment Partners, identity verification providers, fraud prevention tools, or compliance service providers to conduct verification and related checks.
If a User fails to complete required verification, fails to cooperate with a review, or provides unsatisfactory information, Click&Done may refuse registration, restrict account functionality, delay or block transactions or payouts where permitted, suspend or terminate access to the Platform, or take any other action reasonably necessary to protect the Platform, its Users, and its Payment Partners.
A User’s failure or refusal to comply with this section constitutes a material breach of this Policy.
Consumer Protection and Fair Dealing
Users must conduct themselves on the Platform in a fair, honest, transparent, and responsible manner consistent with applicable consumer protection laws and the legitimate operation of a trusted online marketplace. In South Africa, the Consumer Protection Act is intended to promote a fair, accessible, and sustainable marketplace, improve standards of consumer information, and prohibit unfair marketing and business practices. The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act also regulates electronic transactions and seeks to prevent abuse of information systems in online commerce.
Without limiting the generality of the above, each User must:
- provide clear, accurate, and not misleading information about Services, pricing, timing, scope, qualifications, limitations, and any material terms relevant to a transaction;
- act in good faith in all communications, quotations, bookings, performance discussions, complaints, cancellations, refunds, and disputes;
- avoid any false, deceptive, unfair, aggressive, or manipulative conduct toward any other User;
- honour commitments made through the Platform unless cancellation, non-performance, or variation is permitted by law, by the applicable agreement, or by Click&Done’s platform rules; and
- cooperate with reasonable requests for information or evidence needed to resolve customer complaints, disputes, chargebacks, or regulatory concerns.
A Specialist must ensure that any Listing, quote, proposal, promotion, review response, or other communication is truthful, complete in all material respects, and not likely to mislead a Customer about the nature, quality, safety, price, availability, or expected result of a Service. This is particularly important because payment disputes commonly arise where a product or service is not delivered, is incomplete, or is materially different from what was described. Paystack’s dispute guidance specifically highlights “product or service not as described” and poor or incomplete service delivery as common grounds for customer disputes.
A Customer must engage with Specialists fairly and honestly, provide accurate instructions and relevant information, and may not misuse the Platform by making bad-faith complaints, false refund requests, abusive chargebacks, or knowingly misleading claims about a Service or transaction. Payment providers monitor disputes and chargebacks closely, and unresolved or excessive dispute activity can create payment and operational risk for a platform and its merchants.
Users may not, directly or indirectly:
- use bait advertising, hidden pricing, false urgency, undisclosed material limitations, or any other misleading sales practice;
- misstate cancellation rights, refund rights, service scope, expected outcomes, wait times, qualifications, or availability;
- pressure, harass, intimidate, or unfairly manipulate another User into booking, paying for, or accepting a Service;
- exploit a User’s lack of experience, vulnerability, or misunderstanding;
- suppress, fabricate, buy, or manipulate reviews or ratings in a misleading manner; or
- engage in any conduct that is unfair, unconscionable, deceptive, or inconsistent with responsible marketplace behaviour.
Where a complaint, dispute, or consumer issue arises, Users must cooperate in good faith with Click&Done’s reasonable requests for records, communications, proof of performance, proof of delivery, quotations, invoices, photographs, timelines, or other evidence relevant to resolving the matter. Paystack states that dispute resolution
commonly requires evidence such as receipts, transaction records, and other relevant information depending on the business category.
Click&Done may take any action it reasonably considers necessary to protect consumers, maintain marketplace integrity, and comply with legal or payment-partner requirements, including rejecting or removing Listings, requiring corrective disclosures, restricting account functionality, facilitating refunds where permitted, suspending or terminating Users, or reporting unlawful or abusive conduct to the appropriate authorities. This is consistent with the consumer-protection purpose of the CPA and with payment-provider practices that focus on fraud control, dispute management, and customer protection.
Content Standards and Intellectual Property
Users are solely responsible for all Content they upload, publish, submit, transmit, display, distribute, or otherwise make available on or through the Platform. All Content must be lawful, accurate, honest, professional, and consistent with this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, and Applicable Law.
Without limiting the generality of the above, Users must ensure that their Content:
- is true, current, and not misleading in any material respect;
- does not contain false claims, deceptive statements, fake reviews, manipulated images, or misrepresentations about identity, qualifications, pricing, experience, availability, or Services;
- does not promote or facilitate any prohibited Service, unlawful activity, fraudulent conduct, or circumvention of the Platform’s rules or payment processes;
- does not contain unlawful, abusive, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, hateful, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material;
- does not infringe, misappropriate, dilute, or otherwise violate the intellectual property, privacy, data protection, confidentiality, publicity, contractual, or other rights of any person;
- does not include viruses, malicious code, harmful files, or any material intended to interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Platform; and
- complies with any content guidelines, category rules, technical requirements, or moderation standards published by Click&Done from time to time.
Users may not upload, post, or use Content that they do not have the lawful right, licence, consent, or authority to use. Where Content includes trademarks, logos, photographs, videos, music, written material, designs, software, databases, business names, trade
secrets, or other protected material belonging to another person, the User must ensure that all necessary permissions and rights have been obtained before such Content is used on the Platform.
A User may not:
- copy, scrape, reproduce, download, distribute, republish, sell, license, exploit, or otherwise use Content from the Platform without lawful authority or without Click&Done’s prior written consent where required;
- use another person’s name, image, brand, logo, review, credentials, or other identifying material in a misleading or unauthorised manner;
- submit Content that falsely suggests endorsement by Click&Done or by any third party;
- remove, alter, obscure, or interfere with any copyright notice, trademark, watermark, attribution, or proprietary notice; or
- use the Platform or its Content to develop, support, train, or operate a competing service, database, directory, or marketplace without Click&Done’s prior written consent.
By submitting Content to the Platform, the User represents and warrants that the User owns the Content or has all rights, licences, consents, and permissions necessary to submit and use that Content in connection with the Platform and to grant Click&Done the rights reasonably necessary to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, moderate, and otherwise use that Content for the operation, promotion, security, support, and improvement of the Platform, subject always to Click&Done’s Privacy Policy and Applicable Law.
Click&Done does not claim ownership of third-party content submitted by Users. However, Click&Done may remove, refuse, restrict, moderate, disable access to, or require amendment of any Content that it reasonably considers to be unlawful, infringing, misleading, unsafe, offensive, non-compliant, or otherwise inconsistent with this Policy or the legitimate interests of the Platform.
If a User believes that any Content on the Platform infringes that User’s intellectual property rights or other lawful rights, that User may notify Click&Done and provide sufficient information to enable Click&Done to assess the complaint. Click&Done may investigate the matter, request supporting evidence, remove or restrict the relevant Content, suspend repeat offenders, and take any other action it reasonably considers necessary.
Repeated submission of infringing, unlawful, deceptive, or non-compliant Content constitutes a material breach of this Policy and may result in suspension or termination of access to the Platform.
Privacy, Personal Information and POPIA Compliance
Users must process, collect, use, store, disclose, and otherwise handle Personal Information obtained through the Platform only in a lawful, fair, secure, and responsible manner and in compliance with Applicable Law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”). POPIA gives effect to the constitutional right to privacy and requires compliance with conditions for lawful processing of personal information, including accountability, processing limitation, purpose specification, information quality, openness, security safeguards, and data subject participation.
Without limiting the generality of the above, Users may collect or use Personal Information through the Platform only to the extent reasonably necessary for legitimate Platform-related purposes, including creating accounts, verifying identity, arranging or performing Services, communicating about bookings, processing payments, complying with legal obligations, handling complaints or disputes, preventing fraud, and maintaining Platform safety and integrity. Users may not collect, use, retain, disclose, sell, scrape, harvest, or exploit Personal Information for any unrelated, excessive, unlawful, deceptive, or unauthorised purpose. POPIA’s lawful-processing framework includes minimality and purpose specification, which support limiting processing to what is adequate, relevant, and not excessive for a specific lawful purpose.
Users must ensure that any Personal Information they provide to Click&Done or other Users is accurate, current, and not misleading, and must promptly update information where necessary. Users must also respect the privacy and lawful rights of other data subjects and may not publish, share, or misuse another person’s contact details, identity documents, banking information, home address, photographs, private communications, or other Personal Information except where lawfully permitted and genuinely necessary for a Platform transaction or legal obligation. POPIA requires responsible parties to maintain information quality and to process personal information lawfully and reasonably.
A Specialist may collect Personal Information from a Customer only where reasonably necessary to assess, quote for, schedule, or perform a lawful Service, or to comply with legal, safety, tax, insurance, or regulatory requirements applicable to that Service. A Specialist may not request excessive Personal Information, sensitive documents, payment credentials, authentication details, or unrelated personal data from a Customer, and may not use Customer information for unsolicited marketing, onward sale, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the relevant Service, unless permitted by
Applicable Law and Click&Done’s policies. POPIA’s processing-limitation and purpose-specification requirements support this restriction.
Where a User processes Personal Information on behalf of another person or entity, that User must ensure that appropriate authority, contractual controls, and security safeguards are in place. POPIA distinguishes between a “responsible party” and an “operator,” including where a person processes personal information for another under a contract or mandate.
Users must implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect Personal Information against loss, unauthorised access, destruction, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or unlawful processing. If a User becomes aware of any actual or reasonably suspected data breach, security compromise, unauthorised disclosure, or misuse of Personal Information connected to the Platform, that User must notify Click&Done without undue delay and provide all information reasonably required to assess and respond to the incident. The Information Regulator states that security compromises must be handled through notification and response processes, and POPIA includes security-safeguard obligations.
Click&Done may collect, verify, store, use, and share Personal Information where reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, carry out KYC and fraud checks, process transactions, manage payouts, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and meet Payment Partner requirements, all subject to its Privacy Policy and Applicable Law. Paystack’s South Africa merchant privacy materials confirm that payment providers collect personal data for KYC, transaction processing, fraud prevention, refunds, and legal compliance.
Users may not use the Platform to upload, transmit, or store unlawfully obtained Personal Information, identity records, confidential information, or data that they do not have the lawful right to process. Users may also not use data obtained through the Platform to build independent databases, marketing lists, lead lists, or competing services without Click&Done’s prior written consent and a lawful basis under Applicable Law.
Click&Done may suspend or restrict access to the Platform, remove Content, block transactions, require additional safeguards, or take any other action reasonably necessary where it believes that Personal Information is being processed in breach of this Policy, its Privacy Policy, POPIA, or Payment Partner requirements. Serious or repeated misuse of Personal Information constitutes a material breach of this Policy.
Safety, Harmful Conduct and Offline Services
Users must use the Platform in a manner that promotes safety, lawful conduct, and responsible behaviour at all times. This is particularly important where Services are
arranged through the Platform but performed in person, at private premises, at a workplace, or in any other offline environment. In South Africa, occupational health and safety law is aimed at protecting persons at work and also persons affected by work-related activities, and consumer law includes protections relating to unsafe goods and services.
Without limiting the generality of the above, Users may not:
- use the Platform to threaten, intimidate, stalk, harass, abuse, exploit, endanger, or harm any person;
- arrange, request, offer, or perform any Service in a manner that is unlawful, reckless, violent, coercive, abusive, or unsafe;
- use the Platform to facilitate self -harm, unlawful violence, property damage, animal cruelty, abuse of vulnerable persons, or any conduct that creates a serious risk to health, safety, dignity, or property;
- request or provide Services involving unlawful entry, trespass, vigilantism, intimidation, coercive debt collection, evictions without lawful process, or any other conduct that is inconsistent with Applicable Law;
- bring weapons, hazardous materials, illegal substances, or unsafe equipment to any location connected with a Service, except where lawfully required for a permitted Service and handled in compliance with Applicable Law and appropriate safety standards;
- use the Platform to arrange any Service that requires a licence, permit, competence, supervision, training, protective equipment, or safety controls unless the relevant User is properly qualified and legally authorised to carry out that Service; or
- ignore, conceal, or fail to disclose material safety risks where disclosure is reasonably necessary for the safe performance of a Service.
Where a Service is performed offline, each User remains responsible for their own conduct, safety precautions, legal compliance, supervision, equipment, premises, and decision-making. A Specialist must perform offline Services with reasonable skill, care, diligence, and attention to health and safety, and must comply with all legal requirements applicable to the relevant work, including any occupational health and safety, consumer safety, licensing, labour, environmental, transport, or sector -specific obligations. South African occupational health and safety law places duties on work -related actors to maintain, as far as reasonably practicable, a safe environment and to protect persons affected by work activities.
A Customer must provide accurate and timely information about any material site conditions, access restrictions, known hazards, animals, persons at risk, unsafe structures, dangerous equipment, or other relevant circumstances that may affect safe performance of the Service. A Customer may not require a Specialist to perform work that is unlawful, unsafe, or materially different from what was originally requested without proper disclosure and agreement.
If a Service involves children, elderly persons, vulnerable adults, entry to private homes, work at height, use of tools or machinery, electrical work, transport, lifting, chemicals, hazardous materials, medical or wellness-related activity, or any other elevated-risk situation, Users must exercise heightened care and comply with all applicable legal, safety, and professional requirements. Any such Service may also be subject to additional Click&Done verification, limitations, or category rules.
Users must immediately stop using the Platform in connection with any Service that presents an imminent safety risk or unlawful situation and must report serious safety incidents, threats, unlawful conduct, or harmful behaviour to the appropriate emergency services or public authorities where necessary. Users must also notify Click&Done without undue delay of any serious incident, complaint, injury, property damage, unsafe conduct, or credible threat connected with a Service arranged through the Platform.
Where a User becomes aware of a safety incident that also involves misuse of Personal Information, unauthorised disclosure, or another security compromise, that User must notify Click&Done promptly and cooperate with any required response. POPIA-related guidance from the Information Regulator states that security compromises must be reported by the responsible party and that operators must notify the responsible party when they believe personal information has been compromised.
Click&Done may take any action it reasonably considers necessary to protect Users and the public, including refusing or removing Listings, restricting categories, requiring additional verification, suspending or terminating accounts, cancelling transactions, sharing information with Payment Partners, and reporting matters to regulators or law enforcement where appropriate. Under the Consumer Protection Act, suppliers who install hazardous or unsafe goods in connection with services must provide the required safety documentation, which reinforces the importance of safety controls for offline service delivery.
Ratings, Reviews and Platform Integrity
Click&Done may enable Users to submit ratings, reviews, feedback, complaints, endorsements, responses, and other forms of marketplace reputation content. Where such features are made available, they must be used honestly, fairly, and only for genuine
experiences relating to actual interactions, Services, or transactions connected to the Platform.
Users may not:
- submit false, misleading, fabricated, purchased, manipulated, or bad-faith ratings or reviews;
- post a rating or review in respect of a transaction, Service, or User with whom they did not have a genuine Platform-related interaction;
- offer, solicit, accept, or provide money, discounts, gifts, refunds, free services, reciprocal benefits, or any other incentive in exchange for a rating, review, endorsement, complaint withdrawal, or change in feedback, unless expressly permitted by Click&Done;
- use multiple accounts, third parties, automated means, coordinated behaviour, or any deceptive practice to influence ratings, reviews, rankings, visibility, trust indicators, or user perception;
- threaten, pressure, intimidate, harass, or retaliate against another User in relation to a rating, review, complaint, dispute, or feedback process;
- post reviews or responses that are unlawful, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, invasive of privacy, or otherwise in breach of this Policy; or
- misuse ratings, reviews, complaints, or reporting tools to harm a competitor, gain leverage in a dispute, avoid payment, or manipulate outcomes in bad faith.
Users must ensure that all reviews, ratings, and related statements are based on their honest opinion, are factually accurate where facts are stated, and are not misleading in any material respect. Reviews must relate to the relevant Service, transaction, communication, reliability, professionalism, timeliness, or other legitimate aspects of the User’s Platform experience.
A Specialist may not misrepresent or selectively present reviews in a deceptive manner, create fake customer feedback, suppress genuine negative feedback through improper pressure or inducement, or falsely claim endorsements, qualifications, rankings, awards, or platform status.
A Customer may not use the review or complaint process as a tool for extortion, harassment, unfair pressure, false refund demands, abusive chargebacks, or retaliation unrelated to the genuine quality or circumstances of the Service.
Click&Done may use ratings, reviews, complaints, response history, dispute patterns, verification status, cancellation behaviour, response times, safety reports, policy
breaches, and other trust and risk signals to support moderation, ranking, fraud prevention, category access, transaction controls, and overall marketplace integrity.
Click&Done does not guarantee the accuracy of any rating, review, or user-generated reputation signal. However, Click&Done may investigate, moderate, reject, delay publication of, remove, redact, or otherwise act on any rating, review, response, or account behaviour that it reasonably considers false, misleading, abusive, manipulative, retaliatory, irrelevant, unlawful, suspicious, or otherwise inconsistent with this Policy or the legitimate operation of the Platform.
To protect Platform integrity, Click&Done may also detect and act against spam, fake engagement, coordinated inauthentic behaviour, duplicate accounts, automated activity, suspicious review patterns, sham transactions, and any attempt to manipulate search results, recommendations, trust indicators, or user confidence.
Any misuse of ratings, reviews, or trust features, or any conduct that undermines the integrity, fairness, reliability, or reputation of the Platform, may result in removal of content, adjustment or suppression of ratings, restriction of features, cancellation of transactions, suspension or termination of User Accounts, and any other enforcement action Click&Done reasonably considers necessary.
Third-Party Rights and Compliance with Laws
Users must use the Platform in a manner that respects the lawful rights of third parties and complies at all times with all Applicable Law. In South Africa, the Consumer Protection Act is intended to promote a fair, accessible, efficient, sustainable, and responsible consumer marketplace; POPIA establishes minimum requirements for the processing of personal information; and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act regulates electronic communications and transactions and seeks to prevent abuse of information systems.
Without limiting the generality of the above, Users may not, directly or indirectly:
- infringe, misappropriate, dilute, misuse, or otherwise violate any intellectual property right, privacy right, publicity right, contractual right, confidentiality obligation, data protection right, property right, consumer right, labour right, or other lawful right of any person;
- use the Platform in any manner that is unlawful, unauthorised, deceptive, unfair, abusive, discriminatory, harmful, or inconsistent with any legal or regulatory requirement applicable to the User, the relevant Service, or the relevant transaction;
- publish, transmit, submit, or rely on any Content, Listing, request, quotation, review, communication, document, image, or representation that unlawfully interferes with, exploits, or prejudices the rights, safety, property, data, or lawful interests of any other person;
- offer, request, advertise, arrange, or perform any Service that requires a licence, registration, permit, consent, approval, qualification, insurance cover, or professional authorisation unless the User holds and maintains all such requirements applicable to that Service;
- encourage, assist, procure, conceal, or facilitate any third party’s breach of law, contract, regulatory obligation, court order, or this Policy; or
- use the Platform in a way that causes Click&Done to breach Applicable Law, a regulatory obligation, or a requirement imposed by any Payment Partner, service provider, regulator, court, or competent authority.
Each User is solely responsible for determining and complying with all laws, regulations, by-laws, permit conditions, tax obligations, employment obligations, safety requirements, data protection obligations, consumer protection requirements, and industry rules applicable to that User’s conduct and to any Service requested, offered, arranged, or provided through the Platform. The legislative purposes of the CPA, POPIA, and ECTA reinforce that online marketplace activity must be conducted fairly, lawfully, and with proper regard for consumer rights, privacy, and the integrity of electronic systems.
Where a User acts on behalf of a business, partnership, trust, close corporation, or other entity, that User must have proper authority to do so and must ensure that the relevant entity also complies with this Policy and Applicable Law.
Nothing on the Platform may be interpreted as legal, regulatory, tax, employment, licensing, immigration, health and safety, or professional advice from Click&Done. Users remain responsible for obtaining independent advice where necessary and for ensuring that their use of the Platform and any related offline conduct are lawful and properly authorised.
Click&Done may at any time require a User to provide information, records, licences, permits, approvals, policies, certificates, authorisations, or other evidence reasonably necessary to assess compliance with Applicable Law, third -party rights, or Payment Partner requirements. If a User fails to provide satisfactory evidence, or if Click&Done reasonably believes that a User, Service, Listing, or transaction may breach third -party rights or Applicable Law, Click&Done may reject or remove Listings or Content , restrict account functionality, block or cancel transactions where permitted, suspend or terminate access to the Platform, and report the matter to Payment Partners, regulators, law enforcement, or other relevant authorities where appropriate.
Any breach of third-party rights or failure to comply with Applicable Law constitutes a material breach of this Policy.
Monitoring, Investigation and Enforcement
Click&Done may, but is not obliged to, monitor use of the Platform, Listings, Content, communications, transactions, payment activity, verification information, reviews, complaints, dispute patterns, safety reports, and other conduct connected with the Platform for the purposes of enforcing this Policy, protecting Users, preventing fraud and abuse, maintaining Platform integrity, complying with Applicable Law, and meeting Payment Partner requirements.
Without limiting the generality of the above, Click&Done may:
- review, screen, moderate, verify, flag, or assess Listings, User Accounts, Content, documents, messages, transactions, payout activity, and other Platform activity;
- request additional information, documents, explanations, records, or evidence from any User;
- investigate suspected breaches of this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, Applicable Law, or any Payment Partner requirements;
- cooperate with Payment Partners, banks, identity verification providers, fraud prevention providers, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, courts, and other competent authorities;
- take steps to detect and prevent fraud, chargeback abuse, off-platform circumvention, prohibited Services, unsafe conduct, identity misuse, unauthorised access, money laundering risk, sanctions risk, and other unlawful or harmful activity; and
- use manual review tools, automated systems, third-party service providers, and risk-based controls to support moderation, verification, security, fraud prevention, and compliance functions.
Users must cooperate fully, promptly, and in good faith with any monitoring activity, review, inquiry, audit, investigation, or enforcement process carried out by Click&Done or on its behalf. This includes providing requested information and not deleting, concealing, altering, or misrepresenting relevant evidence, records, communications, or documents.
Where Click&Done reasonably believes that a User, Service, Listing, Content, transaction, or other activity may breach this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, Applicable Law, or Payment Partner requirements, or may expose Click&Done, its Users, or its Payment Partners to legal, regulatory, fraud, chargeback, safety, operational, or reputational risk, Click&Done may take any action it reasonably considers necessary, including:
- rejecting, removing, restricting, disabling, or modifying Listings or Content;
- refusing registration or onboarding;
- restricting account functionality or access to certain features, categories, or payment methods;
- delaying, blocking, cancelling, reversing, or refusing transactions or payouts where permitted;
- issuing warnings or requiring corrective action;
- suspending or terminating User Accounts;
- retaining relevant records and evidence;
- reporting the matter to Payment Partners, banks, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other relevant authorities; and
- taking any other reasonable step necessary to protect the Platform, its Users, or third parties.
Click&Done may take enforcement action immediately and without prior notice where it reasonably considers this necessary to prevent harm, investigate suspected misconduct, comply with legal obligations, respond to a regulatory or Payment Partner requirement, protect the security or integrity of the Platform, or reduce risk.
Click&Done is not required to allow any User to continue using the Platform while an investigation is ongoing. Click&Done may also impose conditions for continued use of the Platform, including enhanced verification, transaction limits, temporary holds, additional documentation requirements, category restrictions, or other remedial measures.
A User’s failure to cooperate with an investigation, failure to provide requested information, submission of false or misleading information, interference with an investigation, or repeated or serious breach of this Policy may be treated as an aggravating factor in determining the appropriate enforcement action.
Nothing in this section limits any other rights or remedies available to Click&Done under the Terms and Conditions, any other Platform policy, or Applicable Law.
Suspension, Restriction and Termination
Click&Done may, at its sole discretion acting reasonably and in accordance with Applicable Law, suspend, restrict, limit, deactivate, or terminate a User Account, a
Listing, access to the Platform, access to specific features, categories, payment functionality, messaging functionality, or any related service where Click&Done considers this necessary to protect the Platform, its Users, third parties, or its Payment Partners.
Without limiting the generality of the above, Click&Done may take such action where:
- a User breaches this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, any other Click&Done policy, or any applicable category rules;
- Click&Done reasonably suspects unlawful conduct, fraud, deception, bad-faith conduct, unsafe activity, misuse of the Platform, or any attempt to circumvent Platform rules or payment controls;
- a User fails to complete verification, fails to cooperate with a compliance review, investigation, dispute process, or safety inquiry, or provides false, misleading, incomplete, or unsatisfactory information;
- a User offers, requests, advertises, arranges, promotes, or pays for a prohibited Service or engages in a prohibited activity;
- a User exposes or may expose Click&Done, other Users, or any Payment Partner to legal, regulatory, fraud, chargeback, operational, safety, security, or reputational risk;
- a User infringes third-party rights or is reasonably suspected of doing so;
- Click&Done is required or requested to do so by a Payment Partner, bank, regulator, law enforcement authority, court, insurer, or other competent authority; or
- Click&Done otherwise reasonably determines that continued access to the Platform is inappropriate, unsafe, unlawful, or inconsistent with the legitimate operation of the Platform.
A restriction or suspension may be temporary or permanent and may apply to the whole User Account or only to certain functions, including Listings, messaging, bookings, payouts, withdrawals, payment acceptance, specific service categories, or access to certain areas of the Platform.
Click&Done may take action under this section with or without prior notice where it reasonably considers immediate action necessary to prevent harm, reduce risk, preserve evidence, protect Users, comply with legal or Payment Partner requirements, or maintain the integrity and security of the Platform.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, Click&Done may notify the affected User of the action taken and may, but is not obliged to, specify the general reason for the
action. Click&Done is not required to disclose information where doing so may prejudice an investigation, compromise safety, violate confidentiality obligations, facilitate fraud or evasion, or otherwise create legal or operational risk.
During any period of suspension or restriction, Click&Done may block or cancel pending transactions, remove or disable Listings or Content, place holds on payouts where permitted, prevent new bookings, and take any other interim measure reasonably necessary to protect the Platform, its Users, and its Payment Partners.
Termination of a User’s access to the Platform does not release that User from any obligations, liabilities, disputes, payment obligations, refund obligations, cooperation requirements, confidentiality obligations, or legal responsibilities arising before or after termination. Click&Done may retain records, transaction data, communications, verification information, and enforcement history for as long as reasonably necessary for legal compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, Payment Partner requirements, and legitimate business purposes.
A User whose access has been suspended, restricted, or terminated may not create a new account, access the Platform through another User, or otherwise attempt to bypass the action without Click&Done’s prior written consent.
Any suspension, restriction, or termination under this section is without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available to Click&Done under this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, or Applicable Law.
Reporting Violations and Complaints
Users may report suspected breaches of this Policy, prohibited Services, unlawful activity, fraud, deceptive conduct, payment abuse, safety concerns, misuse of Personal Information, intellectual property infringement, or any other conduct that may harm Users, third parties, or the integrity of the Platform.
Reports and complaints may be submitted through the reporting, support, or contact channels made available by Click&Done from time to time.
A report or complaint should include, where reasonably available:
- sufficient detail to identify the relevant User, Listing, Content, transaction, or conduct;
- a clear description of the issue and the basis for the complaint;
- any relevant supporting information, including screenshots, messages, dates, photographs, payment references, or other evidence; and
- contact details sufficient for Click&Done to follow up where necessary.
Users must submit reports and complaints honestly, accurately, and in good faith. A User may not knowingly make a false, misleading, malicious, retaliatory, abusive, or bad-faith report or complaint, or misuse the reporting process to harass another User, avoid payment, gain unfair leverage in a dispute, damage a competitor, or manipulate Platform outcomes.
Click&Done may review and assess any report or complaint and may request additional information, documents, explanations, or evidence from any relevant User. Users must cooperate promptly and in good faith with any such request.
Click&Done may, but is not obliged to, investigate reported matters and may determine the appropriate response in its reasonable discretion, taking into account the nature of the alleged conduct, the available evidence, Applicable Law, safety considerations, and Payment Partner requirements.
Where Click&Done reasonably considers it appropriate, it may take any action permitted under this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, or Applicable Law, including removing Content or Listings, restricting or cancelling transactions, requiring corrective action, issuing warnings, requesting verification, suspending or terminating User Accounts, facilitating refunds where permitted, or reporting the matter to Payment Partners, regulators, law enforcement, or other competent authorities.
Submitting a report or complaint does not guarantee any particular outcome, enforcement action, or response time. Click&Done may limit the information it shares about the handling or outcome of a complaint where confidentiality, privacy, legal, safety, fraud prevention, or operational considerations apply.
Nothing in this section prevents any User from reporting matters to the appropriate regulator, authority, law enforcement body, or court where permitted by Applicable Law.
Changes to this Policy
Click&Done may amend, update, revise, or replace this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to the Platform, its services, business model, legal or regulatory requirements, Payment Partner requirements, risk management practices, or operational needs.
Any updated version of this Policy will become effective from the date published on the Platform or from such later date as Click&Done may specify.
Where required by Applicable Law, or where Click&Done considers it appropriate, Click&Done may provide notice of material changes by publishing the updated Policy on the Platform, updating the “last updated” date, sending an email, displaying an in-platform notice, or using any other reasonable communication method.
A User’s continued access to or use of the Platform after an updated version of this Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy, to the extent permitted by Applicable Law.
If a User does not agree to any change to this Policy, that User must stop using the Platform and, where applicable, close their account in accordance with Click&Done’s Terms and Conditions.
Click&Done recommends that Users review this Policy regularly to ensure they understand the rules and standards that apply to use of the Platform.
